Having iPads for my classroom would really help me give a quick and feasible intervention for my students needs. Having iPads are a handy resource that I could use when a student is struggling with a certain concept. For example, if a student is struggling with a certain letter sound I could have them do the Starfall app for an extra 5 minutes during free reading time. It is really heartbreaking for me when I try to communicate with a student who does not understand the English language when I know they are really trying. Using the DuoLingo app or Google Translate I could easily type in or say a sentence to have it translate to their language. When I can use these apps and communicate to them in their home language it creates a special bond between that student and me. They know that I am trying everything that I can and I am not giving up on them just because they can't understand me. Not only can using these apps and tools help them learn, but it can also create that love for learning. This is something that I see students lack when they continue to struggle throughout their educational journey. When learning is fun and engaging the possibilities are limitless.
