The inspiration for my project is to engage my students in team building exercises by having them create an escape room within the classroom. Their special needs are built on learning through hands-on projects that require collaboration and team work. ALL of their learning plans address building upon skills that many take for granted. Building student engagement with Magna-blocks and Legos will provide this special group of students with an exciting way to use their ELA and math skills. They will use these various building items to increase their science and engineering skills within the classroom, and increase their fine motor skills. Thank you for your consideration of our project!
