We are launching books clubs and I have two students that only read on grade level in Spanish. These books include social issues from animal rights (One and Only Ivan), discrimination/acceptance (Wonder) to immigration (Inside Out and Back Again). Our school is launching our Dual Language/Global School initiative next year and I am trying to get ahead of the game and help my students this year! These book sets will allow ALL students in my class to be part of our book clubs! They will be able to read the book in their native language and be involved with discussion that would not take place without these resources!
