I work in a Title I K-12th grade school in a special needs self-contained classroom. My students are in this classroom because of various learning and/or behavioral needs that require them to be separated from their peers in the regular education classroom environment. Unfortunately, more than one of my students may have experienced some kind of trauma in their life. Often their needs and/or behavior may be a result of this trauma. Despite of any negative experiences that may have caused them to have various needs, they are amazing and ready to learn when given a good learning environment.

About my class
