We are a first year robotics team for the FIRST Robotics Competition. We learned that having better tools would allow for more efficient work time and would allow for more creativity from the students because more things can be created with the correct tool. Our team would greatly benefit from the addition of a few more tools and a cart to push our robot and tools into the arena for competition. I believe a belt sander, a metal cutting miter saw blade, and a tool chest and/or organizational bins would increase productivity of our team. Our team owns the miter saw but our blade can only be used for cutting wood. Students have been cutting aluminum bar with a hand saw this season.
