S.T.E.M. is the future and my students are so interested in all four categories. The "T" stands for technology and my STEM Projects Career Path class involves robotics. This projects involves so many parts of a career. With the Makeblock mBot, my students will be able to build a robot, use Scratch 2.0 coding to code the robot and we will have a small competition using the robots. This project is being done to inspire the students to try more challenging coding languages in the future and it gives them a small taste of engineering in the future. I will use this project as an introduction to robotics and hopefully they will try more challenging robotics in the future when they go on to high school! In the past few weeks, we have been working on understanding code and how to implement it. Since we don't have the robots on hand, my students have been coding games to show what they have learned. (This also got them interested in coding!) These materials will be used for many years to inspire more and more kids to want to pursue any career and particularly some in the S.T.E.M. field!
