These materials will make a difference in Math because my students will not have to fight over calculators and they can keep them organized by seeing what belongs to who. The pencils will help with the need for the pencil sharpener. They don't make pencils like they used to and the quality causes a lot of pencils to break, especially if the sharpener is not good. Dry erase markers are need to work in whole groups and small groups when practicing new skills. When it is time to do so calculations, especially in my Special Education class, students reach for a calculator to feel successful, but when there is not enough for everyone to have one, it becomes first come first serve.
