Do you remember when you were a child full of energy and exploring the world? Children have not changed. They still wiggle and squirm, and one of the most challenging tasks for any child (or adult) is seating upright in a rigid plastic chair for hours every day. Help create a flexible environment where students are able to learn in a way that best suits their needs. Research shows that children learn better when movement and activity is incorporated. Wobble chairs help facilitate this. They allow students to move around freely, while still remaining at their work area. Even a small amount of movement will help to keep a student engaged. In addition, this minimizes the distraction of students constantly standing up or leaning back in their chairs. Not only do these seating options help students, but they also help the teacher with classroom management.
