Due to neighborhood concerns, many of our parents do not allow their children to play outside after school. My goal is to increase specific skills that are learned through playing games. Through playing games at recess I hope to increase turn taking, following directions and cooperative play skills. Board games offer an opportunity to increase social skills that ipad or video games cannot provide. I recently purchased a set of Uno Cards and Sorry for one class to use in the cafeteria and was overwhelmed with the response from the other classes. They are asking where their set of games are! I am eager to capitalize on their excitement of playing games with their classmates.

About my class
