I use a Daily 5 structure for literacy instruction. Our students will use the storage cart and sturdy book bins during read to self and read to a friend rotations. Having a leveled library cart will allow students to easily choose a book that is a "good fit" for them. The students will use other hands-on materials during word work centers. After seeing the success of a Daily 5 structured literacy block, I have decided to begin the same type of structure in math. In order to implement Guided Math, we will need various materials for students to use during hands-on math centers.
