The purpose of Academic Studies class is to provide students with specialized support in identified areas of weakness. They need access to the technology being used in general education classes to write research papers, work on group projects, submit home work, complete assignments, find information, collaborate online, and communicate with their teachers and peers. Technology has leveled the playing field for many of my students and without it, they have to work even harder as their time in Academic Studies cannot be focused on their current work if it is not accessible. Chromebooks make the possibilities technology can provide endless as they are the vehicle my students must have to be on the road to success! The Chromebooks that can be purchased from your generous donations will bridge the technology gap for my exceptional students in all areas: English, math, science, vocational arts, fine arts, music, social studies, and more.
