The use of graphing calculators will be a daily activity in my classroom. The graphing calculator is a tool in which students can move forwards and gain success and engagement. The graphing calculators allow my students at various levels greater access to complex mathematical concepts. Using the graphing calculators, students will engage with multiple representations to visualize and gains in understanding in problem solving. Currently, students use Chromebooks for graphing features. This is not beneficial because students cannot use the Chromebooks for classroom assessments and the SAT's. Where as the graphing calculator is allowed for all assessments. Another problem is the fact that the batteries never seem to last. So having the charging station will help alleviate the issue. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
