Students need to touch books throughout the school day. These books will establish our class library. As a newly created Kindergarten class, we're building our classroom from the ground up. Many of my students do not have books at home. When a student picks up a book, their eyes light up as they discover new places and experiences. With only a handful of worn books in our classroom, these books will bring smiles to an entire classroom. Reading during literacy instruction, on their own during Read To Self, or as part of our cross-curricular activities, books bring the learning to life.
