We have 400 students in grades Pre-K through grade 5. Our students, primarily African American, attend classes at an urban charter school in Illinois. Significant numbers of our students make more than one year of progress by a single year in our classrooms. In 2009, nearly 40 percent of students made more than one year of progress in reading. Receiving fiction books will help us to continue to reach these awesome achievements!
