I always start the year off by reading "The Little Engine That Could" and end the year reading "I Knew You Could." I know all students have the ability to learn. This school year I want to focus on growth mind set in my classroom. "If I want this badly enough and I work hard, I can have it!" I think the following books will help my students understand what growth mind set is: "Fantastic Elastic Brain", "Beautiful Oops!", "What Do You Do With An Idea?", "What Do You Do With A Problem?", and "The Most Magnificent","Rosie Revere, Engineer", Iggy Peck, Architect", and "Ada Twist, Scientist" and "Salt in His Shoes". These books will help the students develop a love for learning and a resilience that is need to accomplish great things.
