By adding up to date technology in my classroom students will be able to quickly log on to do research for science and social studies projects. My students will also be able to publish their writing pieces like true authors. By adding these 5 Chromebooks to my classroom I will be able to assign students to work on leveled assignments on self paced computer programs such as Study Island, Moby Max and Lexia to improve their reading and math abilities. With the current technology available, students are spending 10-15 minutes waiting for the computer to log on. After this time has passed, many students are only getting a short amount of time before their rotation time is over. Since my goal is to replace the desk top computers with these Chromebooks, that will also free up TONS of space in my classroom. My plan is to then use the tables where the current computers are as a STEM station.
