My students use the computers several times throughout the day for individualized instruction. Most of the headphones we have are old and hardly work, so students are forced to share headphones with others, or not use headphones at all. This often becomes a distraction for the entire class. Allowing each student to have their own set of headphones would be helpful for all student learning and it would minimize distractions. Having working headphones will also help eliminate the loss of teaching time, as many times throughout the day I am having to stop a lesson with others to help with headphones that are not working properly.
