This project is requesting a coffee maker, coffee, cups, lids, syrups, etc to see up The Coffee Shop. These materials will make a difference in our classroom in many different ways. Not only will my students benefit from the financial freedoms of the money made in order to purchase art supplies, snacks, ingredients for cooking in our kitchen, books, etc., the coffee shop will provide hands-on learning opportunities for a group of students who struggle daily with applying what they are learning in the classroom to real life. My goal for all of my students is to prepare them for life after school. Through the coffee shop business, the students will be working on communication/social skills, functional academics (money math, reading, writing), and learning how to effectively work for a business. Thank you for your generous contributions to my classroom.
