Students in middle school focus on feelings depicted or expressed in works of art. Children make personal connections with works of art that express themes of caring and study how artists use art principles such as space, line, shape, and color to express mood and meaning. Each lesson encourages children to express thoughts and feelings about caring with art activities in drawing, painting, and three-dimensional construction My students are sensitive to interpersonal relationships within their family and friends. These items would help them address universal relationships and concerns of society as they create and share artworks that provide meaningful, visible extensions of themselves. Personal connections allow them to better communicate meanings and feelings when viewing works of art, and to extend their visual and creative frames of reference. The materials I am asking for are basic tools we can use to really bring art into the classroom. Our district schools have a very high poverty rates but it is the art and creativity that sets us apart from the other schools! I believe in my heart that being creative is what will take my student's learning to the next level! To do so the things I’m asking for are paint brushes, , and yarn, glitter
