Our district recently provided each K-12 classroom with a set of 10 iPads. We are currently using them daily for readers workshop, math workshop, science, social studies and small group instruction. Everyday my students use the iPads as a listening center and a reading center during reading workshop. They also use the iPads at a mathematical center during math workshop. They use many apps for literacy, math and science to enhance their learning. The use of the apps on the iPads during learning centers put their growing knowledge of reading, phonics, mathematics and science to great use. 27 students are using 10 iPads without any headphones everyday creates a loud learning environment for my students. A set of Bluetooth headphones and technology equipment will allow them to learn and have fun at the same time. The headphones would be a great help in controlling the noise level and enhance the learning capabilities in my classroom. Your generosity will not only help my students learn, but will also enhance their experience when using the iPads in the classroom.
