My students love to access programs for English Language Learners on the computers. However, I have 18 students, and only 4 student computers in my classroom. If each of my ELL students had a tablet they could use every day, this would help them academically and also help them with their self-esteem. With the five tablets I am requesting, my students would know they will have a tablet to use at school. Many of my students do not have technology at home. Their families are not able to help them with their homework or read with them. Many of their parents do not speak English.They will know they are learning through a tablet they can use every day at school. There are many different educational programs my students will be able to access on these tablets for learning both math and reading.
