Students will be able to use iPads to have access to the technology they need in order to do action research, webquests, and geoquests in alignment with common core standards. Unique to our students is that they learn from an African-centered perspective and while enthusiastic about their learning, lack of technology is a serious barrier to their success. Many students do not have access to computers at home, and have very restricted access at school, due to a lack of resources. A class set of working iPads will allow students to also create high-quality products that help them hone their use of technology in finding identity through the social sciences.

About my class
