I have 18 prekindergarten students at Marlow Elementary School. My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. This is some of my students very first time in a school setting. They come in each day ready to learn. We study a new letter each week and some letters take up to 2 weeks to cover. We also cover nursery rhymes. Each week for our"letter of the week" we make a craft of the capital and lower case letter. My students also get to have a free choice of our centers in the morning. In the afternoons my assistant and I have rotations for our working centers. In these working centers, my assistant and I assist the children in learning to write their names and numbers. We also focus on socializing and learning to how to play/work well with others. Learning how to enter act with other students is a life long skill the students need to learn. Dramatic play is one way we help foster these skills. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
