I am privileged to teach in a small community where the school puts their students first and focuses on ways to improve student learning and academics. My students are like sponges waiting to "soak up" the information provided. Most of my students come from a low socioeconomic background; therefore, school is the only place they get to encounter hands on instruction, manipulatives, and cooperative learning. I am eager to provide them with more interactive learning tools for them to better understand what is being taught and broaden their understanding in the area of mathematics.
