We are a brand new STEM based charter school that specializes in STEM based books for our K-8th graders. Our STEM library is still lacking in science and technology resources that allow students to code their own games, make simple slime, build robots, all through the knowledge of exploring books and trial and error hands-on learning. Through STEM reading, the students have an opportunity to develop and explore the realms of their future. The students want to be challenged and supported on their science based projects such as how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, and learn more about coding to code their own video games, and have tech support and resources to help them achieve power points for STEM presentations. Imagine their faces as they learn how to code a video game, watch a butterfly cycle, make slime, or make a simple power point. We have a short supply of technology and science based resources. We would like to link our students with technology to expand their minds. All this can be learned in the library through past history to modern technology. We want to inspire out of the box thinking for the new generation.
