My classroom is a Life Skills classroom for students in ninth through twelfth grade. Their ability levels range enormously. I have students that speak fluently, students who are nonverbal, and students who utilize AAC devices to communicate with others. Our typical day looks very different from other classrooms. We spend time practicing our letters and learning to read, learning our community signs and map skills, to learning how to write checks and interact appropriately in the work place.
