Wobble chairs have proven effective in increasing student attention, time on task, and overall learning. Our first grade friends are being asked to sit for increasing amounts of time as the curriculum becomes more complex. Students need the freedom to choose their seating that is the best match for their learning style. Our first graders are eager and active and are, developmentally, not supposed to sit for long periods of time. Alternate seating such as these active learning stools provide the opportunity to wiggle, bounce or sway while they are focused on their learning. Our classroom promotes self-confidence and welcomes a variety of learning styles. We realize that "Everyone gets what they need." The hope is with increased options for seating, students will be able to move about while they are engaged in their education. We hope you are as passionate about flexible seating as we are and can help us if you are able! Thank you in advance for considering sponsoring our classroom project!
