These much-needed materials will be put to good use as we explore animal habitats, life cycles, food chains, energy, magnetism and messy chemical reactions! With relevant and useful science equipment, my students will be highly engaged in learning while making meaningful connections to content. Such interesting explorations can build a strong science foundation that will follow students through the years. Magnifying lenses and safety goggles are necessary for basic science experiments. Without goggles, I am conducting experiments as the teacher instead of the students. I would like to see them use magnets as we approach this unit at the end of the year.
