Having a large colorful music rug in my classroom that displays musical symbols, helps to create a fun learning environment for my students. This rug will aid in classroom management and assist with students learning basic musical concepts. In my K-5 class alone I have 26 students. Currently, they sit in chairs which constantly slide and shift and simply get in the way. My students need to have the freedom to move uninhibited. Having to sit in chairs in a music classroom is not ideal seating for younger students. Students learn by doing, creating, moving and exploring which makes learning fun! Having this large colorful music rug not only helps with classroom management with seating but it doubles as a teaching resource as students learn basic musical symbols, rhythms, counting, and musical instruments. Having this large beautiful music rug will help to create a classroom environment that is fun and inviting.
