My students are going to use these materials to become independent music makers. They will play active games, learn countless songs they can sing at home, and even learn some dances. Visual learners can use the flashcards to understand what to do with their voices for certain games and songs. My youngest students can use the puppets to learn about when to sing and when to listen. The SongTales are great for teaching children how to actively listen to music. They gain a larger word and musical vocabulary, all while hearing story-songs. My students will also benefit from these materials because they will be learning folk songs handed down from generation to generation. They can teach them to siblings and parents.
