My students generally come to me each year at least 2 grade levels behind in Reading. Small group instruction is a vital part of our daily routine. As a result, independent practice is just as important in order to allow small group time. The materials in my cart will be useful at my teaching table as well as in centers. All of the materials can be used beyond this school year; so, several groups of students will benefit from them! I don't have many fluent on-level readers in my class this year, so having a listening center would be a major plus! It is very difficult to provide all of the modeling needed each day. It would be great to have that center going each day.
