My students need the HP Chromebooks when we have our Center Reading activities time. I am currently a 4th-grade reading and language arts teacher, and one of my main responsibilities is to introduce new strategies using technology that target the "close" reading process. Also, I am expected to utilize the most current research-based reading strategies in my classroom, in order to improve reading skills and learning gains. We also need non-fiction as well as fiction books for our level reading activities. The overall reading skills of my students will be built and enhanced by the use of the requested Chromebook as our society is moving in a tech-savvy direction. The printer is badly needed as we are always making printing requests and sometimes we have to wait a couple of days before the handouts are available. The Flocabulary online subscription will improve my students' vocabulary skills, which is important as they are soon to be assessed for writing in early Spring. Your support for this request would impact our current students as well as the third-graders who will be entering 4th-grade in the next school year.
