In today’s world, fast food is an everyday thing for most people, and my students are no different. Fast food is part of their daily lives and I want to help them make healthier choices all while learning the skills they need for English. We will take the book, “Chew On This”, and dive into the world of deep-fried and processed foods. This will help my students to learn how food can affect our body and health, all while learning about text structures and central ideas. My students are ready to watch the food break down (It is so gross!) and their reading scores go up!
