My students come from a very low income area. They have not been given the same opportunities as others to enjoy the benefits of healthy activities such as yoga. The students attend a public city school with a super optimistic staff who work well past the final bell to make sure the children are on the right path. The vast majority of my students are Hispanic. It always amazes me how upbeat they are when they enter the building every morning. My hope is to make sure our kids never lose the spark that causes them to show up for school everyday. I particularly hope to give them the opportunity to excel at a myriad of health/life enhancing activities. I am very excited to introduce yoga to our students. We have the enthusiasm, the desire, and the music. We would greatly appreciate your help in acquiring enough mats to make yoga classes for our school possible. Thank you.
