What student doesn't love technology in hand? Students are much more responsive to learning when technology is involved. There are many applications out there that promote student learning while still having some fun! Our school recently gained access to a wonderful program called NearPod. With a device connected to the internet, students can access lessons, take quizzes, watch educational videos and even explore virtual reality field trips! However, it is currently a struggle to get devices in the hands of my students. The purchase of Kindle Fire tablets in the classroom will rectify this problem. Technology opens a world of possibilities for student learning! I understand how important technology is in today's society. If I have any hope of my students having successful futures in the real world, they need to learn how to use technology. I plan to use Kindle tablets in my classroom to enhance my teaching as well as the student learning experience. I want to give my students every chance possible to experience technology.
