Our school is a highly diverse public school. We are diverse by almost every imaginable measure of diversity. The Wavecatchers Club is a self selcted group of students who learn about radio astronomy and become the experts who help when all of the 8th grade classes participate in an "antenna run." The program is open to and includes a group of students from a wide variety of ethnicities, socioeconomic status, and academic credentials. An exciting aspect of this program is the inspiration it has provided to typically undermotivated students as well as students with learning disabilities.
