Harvey took away what a 6 year old would have know as normal life. Playgrounds, library, schools, friends and home changed when Harvey came to visit. Having the Amazon tablet will allow the students a center to read books, access the world beyond their community and challenge them to become tech savvy users. The tablets will be used everyday by every child in the classroom on a rotation schedule, but the learning will not stop there. The tablets will go home in the evening and weekends for additional homework support and extensions. The students will be able to read, write and compose reading materials to share with fellow classmates. Parents will become part of the true learning environment through support of this project. Those who lost normal life with Harvey will be able to feel like a child again with tech tools in their hands.
