My students want to read the stories of America's first nations as well the stories of other marginalized communities. Our school has a very limited supply of books that tell stories from non-dominant perspectives. In order to advocate for their rights and the rights of others, my students need access to a diverse range of stories that more accurately represents the histories and perspectives of the people who have walked on this land. Please help my students develop a more complete understanding of America's history so they can grow their spirit of activism and advocate for civil rights of all.
