"Who's ready for a great learning day?" is what I always ask my 3rd-grade reading, language arts and writing students every day. They always answer with a resounding "Yes!" as they enter my class, filled with enthusiasm. My school is small but it has a high number of students who are ESOL, ELL and there are a few who are SPED and gifted. Most of my students are Haitian-Americans who have experienced a lot of poverty and hardship. Access to basic needs and school supplies have become even more of a challenge since Hurricane Irma struck barely in the second week of the new school year! As their teacher, my main objective is to provide these precious that students I serve, with the learning tools and experiences they need. I do everything possible when it relates to improving and enhancing their reading, language arts and writing experiences in my classroom. Part of this enhancement involves using technology in class.
