My students LOVE technology. We love being able to incorporate videos, games, and learning all while "playing" with technology. Students are more engaged and excited about learning new concepts and being able to create projects using the few ipads provided to our school. This year my school and our students have been through multiple setbacks, mainly Hurricane Harvey. During Hurricane Harvey we were out of school for two weeks. This set us back in curriculum and caused our students to be shaken by these events. Our students saw the devastation throughout Houston and came back to school with MANY questions. In order to get out students minds off of the terrible events, we incorporated MORE technology into our lessons. THEY LOVED IT! Now that our students are back into the swing of school and excited about learning, we're requesting funding for Chromebooks in order for ALL of our students participate in the projects we have planned.
