These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by allowing them to have seating options around the classroom. They are currently sitting in hard chairs for 8 hours a day. Recent studies show that when students have flexible seating, they are able to pay attention longer. We love doing Go Noodle during transitions to get our blood flowing and our wiggles out, but having flexible seating would help a lot. Many of the other fourth grade classrooms at our school have flexible seating and the teachers have found that is helpful with students paying attention as well as behavior. Students tend to misbehave more when they have lost focus.
