Access to technology is important for everyone. It has become an essential tool in education and an integral part of our daily lives. There is a wide variety of high-quality early math, early writing, and early literacy apps available for preschool children that can be used to teach while children are having fun. In addition, specially created interactive manipulative accessories for learning numbers and letters, and writing can enhance the traditional learning process in the classroom. Used as a teaching tool instead of a toy, tablet technology is immediately engaging, immediately reinforcing, and provides multi-sensory input for young learners, especially those with developmental delays. By donating to my project, you will provide the young children in my classroom with endless possibilities for learning. These tablets will be used for individual instructional time between a student and a teacher, helping them develop early academic knowledge and vocabulary at the same time that they are learning to sit, to follow directions, to wait, to communicate and to interact with both technology and a teacher.
