Having a listening center with a CD player will allow my students to have an adventure through books. At my students' age this will make their passion for books stronger. They can listen to the many stories that we love without having to wait. My ESE students will experience familiar stories especially enhancing my students who are non-verbal and English Language Learners to extend vocabulary. This project will greatly help my students' become ready for reading and build vocabulary. With this listening center not only will my students get to listen to stories, but they will have the opportunity to hear rhymes and patterns, and songs. Students will be exposed to many new words they have not heard before. By knowing the words it will help them began to recognize words.
