My students need various pieces of equipment to work on their gross motor skills in the area of object control skills and locomotor skills: dribble, kick, catch, throw, roll, bat, horizontal jump, run, leap, gallop, slide, hop. We use an adaptive physical education assessment that either qualifies the student for adaptive services or doesn't qualify them. The goal is to get students progressing on the assessment so that they no longer need the support of adaptive physical education. The donations for this project will help students become competent in their dribbling and jumping/hopping skills. The smaller basketballs will give students time to practice their skills with appropriate sized balls. The flex hurdles will give students time to practice their jumping and hopping skills using a fun and novel piece of equipment.
