As a school librarian, my classroom is the hub of our school, our Library Learning Commons. Here, students have a variety of activities in which to participate. They can check out books; they can relax with their friends; they can work on a puzzle or play a game; or they can build anything from their imagination in our Makerspace. My goal is for everyone to feel welcome in our Library Learning Commons and to offer the best in literature and technology for our students. Our student body is diverse, so our materials should be, too. Our students may not have access to the latest technology, so we should provide whatever we can to bridge that gap. Our hope is to help every student achieve their personal learning goals and become successful at whatever they choose to do in life.
