The availability of these requested Apple iPad tablets in my classroom will assist in facilitating communication for my students. My students have limited language abilities and struggle with expressing their wants and needs. Several of my students are unable to form coherent thoughts and sentences to portray their verbal message. Having iPads will help facilitate their intended message to staff and peers by using their interest in technology and using the advancement of applications to implement a system of structurized communication. The iPads will serve as a tool in developing expressive communication and assist in expanding oral vocabulary used in speech.
