The students at my school will have the opportunity to explore other cultures via the visiting art exhibition featuring the work of Mexican Artist Frida Kahlo. Students will have the opportunity to see their own framed art work on display alongside the work of Frida Kahlo on this "museum night". Every student from Kindergarten through 5th grade will have a piece of art on exhibition. This project will impact over one thousand students and will allow them the opportunity to explore the universal language that is art. This experience will awaken an interest in cultural diversity through the visual arts as well as nurture an appreciation for our similarities. Students will have the opportunity to see that knowledge about our world and its inhabitants can be imparted through images and the art making process.
