Hello, I am a special education teacher at Northwest High School in Jackson, MI. This is my 12th year of teaching students with special education certifications. I currently work in a high school classroom that services 9th-12th grade students who have moderate intellectual impairments. In my role, I assist students in transition skills and prepare them for adulthood as well as reaching their highest level of indepenence. Students in my classroom receive an academic and non-academic curriculum along with participating in Community Based Instructional outings as an extension of learning outside the classroom.
