My students will be able to use these 3doodler pens to demonstrate their understanding of new learning by creating models of topics they are researching and investigating. Students will use the 3doodler pens after assigned readings of fiction and non-fiction books by creating a model for the beginning, middle, and end of a fiction book, and creating a model of the main topic of a non-fiction book. Having students explain the process of creating their 3D model and what they learned will help my English Language Learners develop speaking and listening skills while using academic language. They will be able to engineer their models and enjoy a new experience with this STEM item by creating a 3-dimensional figure expressing all their knowledge on the topic they are learning. This will be a memorable experience for all my students, and they will want to inquire about more topics to then be able to create additional models using the 3doodler pens.
