Many of our students come from poverty and do not get opportunities to explore the world around them. Their experiences are limited. At my school, we try and expose them to as much as we can so they know what the world has to offer when they become adults. Students' creativity will be supported, and their writing and reading skills will be enhanced through a literature rich experience. They will be able to create and publish through writing, film, and technology, as well as read to share in experiences otherwise not attainable. These are abilities they will need as they mature. My classroom is designed to foster creativity and literacy.
